Carefully Changing Course...Trying Not to Veer...

I promise I'll be returning to the photos, links, and awesome kindergarten tips and ideas soon (and thank you to my regular readers who have contacted me via Facebook, email or left comments voicing their support for kindergarten advocacy):

I just can't stop reading, smiling, laughing, nodding, and breathing a sigh of relief- isn't that what school psychologists are for? I can't tell you how glad I am to read that there were no dead rodents nor swarms of ants waiting for Dr. Rebecca in her office upon her return to school (and wow, what a story!). Head over to Notes from the School Psychologist for additional humor, insight (and even some sarcasm!) if you haven't gotten your fill from me.

Blog Discovery: Bessie's and Bea's Creative Sandwich

When visiting blogs via One World One Heart, I stumbled across Bessie's and Bea's Creative Sandwich. Inspired by all I read and saw, I entered their giveaway, which thrillingly, I won! Yesterday, after spending time in my classroom, I came home to find my pendant wrapped beautifully in bits of lace, a sheet of music appearing to come from an old hymnal, sparkles and and confetti bee, with a teabag and handwritten note:

The pendant is made from repurposed sewing notions, beads and wire:

Ladies, may I say...So SEW beautiful!

I have added Creative Sandwich to my blogroll- please do visit their wonderful site!

Blog Discovery: The Long Thread

~ Visit The Long Thread, and feel free to blame me for sharing the link to such a wonderful blog when your family starts complaining that you've been glued to your computer *for hours*.

***The Top 100 Tutorials of 2008 has had me clicking away like mad...

***Thrifted Holiday Trees have been added to my "try, try, try" list for 2009...

***The Winter Village may have to be created and live alongside my students' graham cracker "gingerbread" houses next year...

***And Make-it-Mondays might change my favorite day of the week from Saturday to... well, maybe not, but weekends are sure to be busier in my craft nook thanks to the wonderful ideas posted on the first day of the work week!
