It doesn't matter that I retired 5 years ago, I connected with you so long ago when I was young :D and you were younger. I continue to absorb your thinking with every post or tweet. I felt connected with you when your husband was deployed, and when you moved, and even when your house flooded. I remember a connection on Twitter long before Facebook and I remember the banners you made then as you do now.
You are so right about the importance of connection and how these connections help us to grow and learn to be better human beings. I am sorry that this year has an unfinished feeling about it. You have connected with this class just as you connected with every class in every school over all these years. Next year and the year after the children will remember you and the fact that you cared about them as individuals. You and they are #KindergartenStrongpoulingailhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06367868612834399503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34115138.post-37885250531851738832020-04-23T19:29:56.107-05:002020-04-23T19:29:56.107-05:00Preach, girl! Specifically, I am looking deeper into the resources standard and seeing how that looks for me as a future educator. I read this post you wrote providing your knowledge and resources to other educators and parents during this hard time we are living through due to COVID19. Based on what I have learned during this lesson this exemplifies a high standard of resources. I have found so many resources on using different resources throughout this lesson. I read that you have been in education for a long time, have the resources that have changed over time effected the way you teach?

Thank you,
Kelseykmarti90https://www.blogger.com/profile/01686357147389063295noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34115138.post-13227243966665097122020-02-13T09:56:49.868-06:002020-02-13T09:56:49.868-06:00Hi Amy, these leaned against the wall at student-h...Hi Amy, these leaned against the wall at student-height for photos, but I was also able to push thumbtacks from within the tube into our bulletin boards. Another idea would be to use the same yellow tape for the stripes to attach the truffula trees to a smooth surface, such as a wood or metal door, or dry erase board: just place a tree against the surface, then run a long enough piece of tape across the front stripes (covering them), pressing the ends of the tape against the surface. They'd probably look more illustration-ish this way too, looking like the stripes had been drawn across the trees and surface. I've seen where other teachers have run a length of clear fishing line through the upper holes (where the fluff had been affixed to the trunk) so that they could hang the trees from the ceiling or higher spots on a wall.Michaele Sommervillehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14990037834550670314noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34115138.post-13365183229402716652020-02-12T07:31:31.650-06:002020-02-12T07:31:31.650-06:00How did you make them stand?
