G is for Gold Glitter

While larger letter projects are fun, sometimes you just need something quick like these simple die-cut gold glittered G's:

G is for glue...

... and gobs of gold glitter!

On the first day back to school after the winter holidays and two inclement weather days, the Super Stars were rarin' to go!  We revisited rules, reconnected with friends, worked at centers, and did our best to get back into the routine.  Our simple yet sparkly G's helped us do just that.

We had a GREAT day!

L is for...

... loops!

Links!

Love~

Though my students enjoy crafting a character for each letter of the week, sometimes we like to change things up, and step outside of the box.

Noticing that our room lacked valentine flair, two students reminded me about the Christmas countdown chains we made in December.  Pink, blue, and red paper strips were cut and the Stars got to work making links...loops!

"Mrs. Sommerville!  Link and loop start with Ll!"

Why yes they do:

The rest of the chains were hung around the room like bunting against our bulletin boards, but we made *just enough* to remind ourselves of our letter of the week.
