HELP: iPad and iPhone Users...

...what MATH apps have you downloaded, use, and ARE HAPPY WITH for your school-aged child's use?  Moms?  Dads?  Teachers?

I'm looking for recommendations for ECE-2nd grade.

Thank you thank you!

(Yep, I get to test-drive an iPad for work and would like to transfer valuable search time over to trying-it-out time for highly recommended apps!)

  1. You are going to tell me how you like it. I have a couple thousand dollars in grant money to spend and I'm seriously thinking of buying Ipads for my k's.

  2. hmmm, math apps? Haven't really found any yet, but I'll be watching this to see what others have suggested.

Here are a couple of suggestions for you to look at:
    Tic Tac Math
    Math Bingo
    Magic Math
    Fish School
    Animal Counting and Writing Game

    Problem Solving
    Shape Builder
    Brain Challenge
    Tic Tac Toe

Hope this list helps a bit and enjoy your i-pad!

  4. Hey Michaele - We have a few you might be interested in: Park Math, LunchBox, Animatch, Math Magic, Coin Math, Clock Master and Arithmaroo 1. Hope this helps!

  5. I am cracking up, as others have listed the ones we use. I was, and am, very fortunate in the fact that I had a parent purchase TWO for our classroom and we have NEVER looked back. They rock! My kids use them in a center rotation and absolutely love them. Their favorite is Math Bingo, but I also have to recommend Drawing Pad. It's not free, but an AMAZING have to try it...they adore it. Have fun and most of all, ENJOY it!

  6. Park Math ROCKS!!! for ECE-1st, counting addition, subtraction, ordering, patterns and more.

Sticker Math for practice using money

Math Ninja for math facts: +-X/

100 Board is just that... # tiles kids can put in order by 1's, even or odd numbers

123 Tracer has addition, number ordering subtration and number writing

Dot to Dot number whiz has dot to dots abc and 123

    Play and learn with mathaliens

Those are my favorites. I list some of my favorite apps at

As always, thank you for your comments, tips, suggestions and questions!
