Newspaper Funnies

Reading Ms. Whatsit's blog today reminded me of this weekend's "Mother Goose and Grimm" funny (scroll down to 10/28/07 for the right strip) regarding NDLB (yes, N-D-L-B!)! Mike Peters is terrific!

    Oh yes! I cut that one out and put it on my new comic strip bulletin board.

    This is another reason why kids need comics: to have the opportunity to think about and challenge practices in our culture in a light, humorous way. This is the kind of comic strip that would have evoked conversation at my kitchen table when I was a kid.
